Essential Plugins for Your Website

Essential Plugins for Your Website

Plugins are nifty little bits of software that can be added to your WordPress website to make it do more things.

The standard WordPress software does a lot, but not everything you might want on your website, and plugins fill the gaps.

This is our list of the essential plugins you really need to add to your website even before you begin to think about what else you might want.

They are all free to use (some do have a premium version, but the free ones do the basic job for you)

They can all be added easily from within your WordPress admin dashboard – (See our Video Tutorial)

  1. Really Simple SSL

Once you have an SSL Certificate for your domain and website, this nifty, lightweight plugin automatically detects your settings and configures your website to run over https.

(No sure what an SSL is – see our Blog post What is SSL and why you need it)
